where small cars are BIG!

…the styling of these cars is beautiful, the proportions are great, they’re perfect if you have a small garage and the engine combinations are endless…

it was 2015 and I was itching to get to another small car meet-up. Since attending Small Cars On The Green the previous year, I was hooked!

Growing up I had always seen, Datsuns, Corollas and Mazdas as pedestrian vehicles. Dad had a few 1600s which I loved but cars like this were just dailys. I guess I was taught that Oldschool Aussie and American Muscle were special and the rest were used to get by.

Fast forward to the mid ’90s, I was about 10 and saw my first proper rotary brapping through Sydney, I was stunned! The only thing I remembered was it being purple and the sound! Like Pigzilla ready to devour an entire city. I wouldn’t say I was hooked but I was very interested.

Nowadays, these are my favourite meets (see the Old School Jap and Euro meet up). The styling of these cars is beautiful, the proportions are great, they’re perfect if you have a small garage, the engine combinations are endless and now I’m lucky enough to own something that fits right in (I just need to finish it). Also, I’m a big fan of Grassroots Garage which mostly show small cars like these on their channel.

Enjoy the gallery below, and share the page with a mate. I look forward to sharing more events just like this one.
