Despite holding back from motorsport events the past few years, when the 2022 HSRCA Sydney Classic came around I couldn’t say no. Scroll through the images below and you’ll see why.

It had been a few years since my last visit to an HSRCA event and I missed it… a lot!

It was great to see some familiar cars and faces, and, as usual there were also heaps of cars and drivers I hadn’t seen before.

I’ll admit that I only started going to these events for the Group N races but with such a huge variety on show, it was only natural that my interest widened to all categories.

I had a book as a kid about classic cars. My favourite by far was the De Tomaso Pantera. What is not to like about it. The owner was cool a guy for starting it up for a young boy who also was fascinated. “I could feel it in my tummy” said little mate when the engine was shut off. Love it!

I love walking pit lane. There’s always someone keen for a chat and great photo opportunities.

Getting close to the cars and drivers is cool but so is seeing and hearing what it’s all about on the track

The Sydney Classic of 2022 featured Heritage Touring Car Groups C & A and was pretty friggen cool.

There’s nothing like being trackside at golden hour. Bonus points to the marshal who was playing 90’s rock. Great times!

If you liked what you saw come on down to the next HSRCA event.

Thanks for stopping by!
