It occurred to me that I have an ever growing list of locations and not enough photoshoots to use them. I guess it’s just more easier finding cool spots than actually using them.

One day while at work browsing a global design and architecture website I came across a newly built building literally a few blocks away from my work. I knew the area well but the building I did not. It’s called Phoenix Central Park and was built following the burning destruction of the previous structure.

The surroundings of a photoshoot can play just as much of a role as the subject itself so when I saw this article I knew I had to not only add it to the list but use it fast!

I wasted no time. I hit up my buddy Andy and organised a shoot with a couple cars. Andrew in his beautifully restored mini and Tarkan in his sweet 2002.

The shoot was set for a Sunday morning and to be honest I was in two minds. Sure It was cold and rainy but if two guys are willing to take their classics out in the rain, I’m only too happy to capture it.

We heard them coming from miles away with backfires and those sweet rumbling exhausts. Sorry not sorry residents.

We had to keep moving as the security guards didn’t like us hanging around but that’s ok, we just had to be quick and creative.

All in all, it was great fun to do this shoot but even better putting good use to a location I had found. Make you sure you check out Andy’s site aaristophoto.com to see his angles.
